About Thomasine
Therapy Style
I'm a compassionate, warm therapist who helps families at any stage in life. Parents-to-be will find a place to start their family off with confidence and balance. Children and teens get the tools and coping skills they need to find more joy in life. And I also help new moms suffering from postpartum depression or anxiety by providing a nurturing, supportive environment to gain insight and symptom relief.
My approach is focused around your needs. I'm here to help you work towards your goals and reach a place of personal satisfaction. With young children, I use a play-based approach and utilize many creative outlets to help them tackle whatever issues they're dealing with.
Education
I received my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Washington-Seattle, where I also completed Pre-Med coursework, and my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University-Seattle. During my time at the University of Washington, I worked in one of the leading developmental psychology labs in the nation that was at the forefront of social and emotional development of babies and young children.
Experience
Over the past decade I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in variety of settings; including community agencies, school districts, and private practice. I previously co-facilitated baby and mommy groups at The Pump Station in Hollywood and was also a therapist for the William S. Hart Union High School District.
